About Us
Western GeoArch Research is an interdisciplinary research firm specializing in geoarchaeology, geology, soil science, paleoecological studies, and the analysis of archaeological site formation processes. Since 1986 we have provided a broad range of geological and archaeological analytical services to research institutes, government agencies, and private archaeological consulting firms in the Northwestern Plains, Rocky Mountains, Basin and Range, Columbia Plateau and Colorado Plateau.
Although many of the analytical tools used are earth science oriented, our goal is to assist in the reconstruction of cultural history, the elucidation of past lifeways, the study of cultural process, and the responsible management of cultural resources. We have established a strong record of client satisfaction by completing projects in a timely, technically sound and cost efficient manner. Western GeoArch Research's combined capabilities in cultural resource management, geomorphology, pedology, stratigraphy, Quaternary geology, site formation studies and vegetation ecology have been extensively applied to meet the diverse needs of scores of clients.
